Question 1

Is JotResume really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your first resume is free forever, with every template, full customization and unlimited PDF, Word and PNG downloads. There are no watermarks and no credit card is required. PRO ($10/month or $45/year) adds unlimited resumes, cover letters, imports, AI writing and the job tracker.

Question 2

Are JotResume templates ATS-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every template exports a real, text-based PDF that applicant tracking systems can parse. For the most conservative parsers, choose a single-column template such as Classic ATS or Harvard and keep section headings standard (Experience, Education, Skills).

Question 3

Can I import my existing resume or LinkedIn profile?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload a PDF or Word resume, or your LinkedIn profile PDF (Profile → More → Save to PDF), and JotResume's AI extracts your experience, education, skills and more into editable sections in about 20 seconds.

Question 4

What does PRO include?

Accepted Answer

PRO includes unlimited resumes and cover letters, unlimited imports, 200 AI writing actions per month, tailoring resumes to a job description with a match score, version history, and a kanban job application tracker with email reminders.

Question 5

Can I cancel PRO anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel anytime from the billing portal and you keep PRO until the end of the paid period. Your documents are never deleted. After PRO ends you can still view and download everything, and your first resume and cover letter stay fully editable.

Question 6

Should I use a one-column or two-column resume?

Accepted Answer

Use one column if you are applying through large company portals or want maximum ATS safety. Two-column layouts fit more on one page and look modern, which works well for direct applications, networking and startups. JotResume lets you switch between them in one click without retyping anything.

Question 7

How long should my resume be?

Accepted Answer

One page for most people with under 10 years of experience, two pages for senior professionals. JotResume shows a live page count and gives you compact templates and spacing controls to fit your content.

Question 8

Can I share my resume as a link?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Turn on the public link for any resume to get a shareable URL with a download button. You can turn it off at any time.
