Getting started
How do I create a resume?+
Sign in with Google, then click 'New resume' on your dashboard. Pick a template and start filling in your details — there's nothing to install.
Why can't I open the builder on my phone?+
The resume builder is a fullscreen experience designed for laptops and desktops, where you can see your live preview alongside the editor. Open JotResume on a larger screen to edit. You can still browse and manage resumes on mobile.
Do I need to pay to get started?+
No. Building a resume and exporting a PDF is free. PRO is an optional one-time upgrade.
Editing & templates
Can I change templates after I start?+
Yes. Open the Templates tab in the builder and pick a new layout — your content and colors carry over automatically.
How do I customize colors and fonts?+
Open the Settings tab in the builder to adjust accent colors, fonts, spacing, and page size. Every template has a tasteful default you can tweak.
How do I add a profile photo?+
In the builder's Settings tab, use the Profile photo uploader. The photo appears in templates whose header supports it.
Exporting
How do I export my resume as a PDF?+
Open your resume in the builder and click 'Export PDF' in the top bar. Your download starts immediately, and the PDF matches your preview exactly.
Is the PDF ATS-friendly?+
Yes. JotResume exports clean, text-based PDFs with standard section headings that applicant tracking systems read reliably.
Can my resume be more than one page?+
Yes. Single-column templates flow neatly across multiple pages when your content needs the space.
Billing & PRO
How do I upgrade to PRO?+
Go to Dashboard → Billing and complete the one-time checkout. PRO is lifetime — pay once, keep it forever.
What does PRO include?+
Unlimited resumes, all premium templates, and unbranded PDF export (no JotResume footer).
How do I manage my billing?+
PRO members can open the customer portal from Dashboard → Billing to view payment details.
